In the Books: 2015 Rotax US Grand Nats

The 2015 Rotax US Grand Nationals is all wrapped up in South Carolina after a challenging weekend. The annual event retained nearly 30 of the countries top drivers in the Rotax Sr. Category that Walker would line up against, as well as hundreds of other drivers in their respective classes. Practice began saturday and ended friday afternoon. After struggling during practce due to a bad batch of tires from the tire distributer, things started to turn around on Saturday. Walker rolled off in the 14th poistion for all three heat races to come. Walker was able to finish 12th in all of the ten-lap heat races allowing him to start the Pre-final on Sunday in the 11th position. The 15-lap Pre-final started with a large accident at the front of the pack in turn-one. This allowed Walker to climb up to the 5th position and cross the line with a solid top 5. Walker set-off on the inside of row-three for the 22-lap final. There were several different tire strategies for the final and Walker, along with the rest of the RPG team ended up on the unfavored strategy. Walker drove his hardest and battled with several experienced drivers, but in the end came home with a solid 10th place finish in his third Rotax US GRand Nationals. He would like to thank his family for all of their support as well as Rolison Performance Group and everyone else who supported him throughout the race weekend.
